The Abbey Nagbutt mouthpiece is designed to prevent a horse from putting their tongue over the bit. The plate lies upwards to the back of the throat, holding the tongue down in the lower jaw. Partnering with equine professionals, including a bit and bridle fitter, can help to identify and resolve issues leading to unwanted evasive actions. Abbey offers a variety of mouthpieces which allow more space for the tongue.
